PUEBLO, Colo.—January 2, 2013—The Pueblo Creative Corridor kicks off ARTshop, a workshop series focused on strengthening the creative industries in Pueblo, on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 1:30 to 3 p.m. at the Rawlings Library, 100 E. Abriendo Ave., Bret Kelly Room A.  The topic for this first ARTShop is “Legal Issues 101 for the Creative Industry,” with presenter Judge Kathleen Croshal Hearn. The cost for each session is $5 per person, and all PPAG members receive free admission.  

This workshop is suited for those who have nagging legal questions about their creative capital. Judge Croshal Hearn will offer solutions to common legal issues of the creative industries. PUEBLO, Colo.—December 4, 2012—The Pueblo Creative Corridor’s Yule Love It Downtown, Holiday Art and Shopping Crawl offers a special holiday gift of wonderful entertainment by local Pueblo performers. Whether you love the blues, Christmas carols, choirs or theatre art, you will receive the perfect holiday treat as you enjoy your winter walking and shopping tour in Mesa Junction, Union Avenue and Main Street. Yule Love It continues on Fridays, 5 to 8 p.m., until Dec. 14 and on Saturdays, 12 to 6 p.m., until Dec. 22. All performances are free. Amoray School of Dance--On Dec. 8, celebrate at the 35th Annual La Posada at 3 p.m., beginning at the Pueblo Convention Center with a beautiful Folklorico dance performance by the Amoray School of Dance. The procession begins at 4 p.m., traveling along Main Street to the County Court House with the Pueblo School for Arts and Sciences, Upon A Star Entertainers, Mt. Carmel Church, Colombian Elementary, Irving Elementary and Pueblo Choral Society.

Blues from the Blocks: Becca and Holly Klock—Get your Christmas blues on with Becca Klock on Dec. 7, 5 to 7 p.m.; Dec. 8, noon to 3 p.m.; Dec. 14, 5 to 7 p.m.; Dec. 15, 2 to 4 p.m., Dec. 22, noon to 3 p.m. Blues from the Blocks is scheduled for Dec. 8, 3 to 4 p.m.; Dec. 14, 5 to 7 p.m.; Dec. 15, 4 to 6 p.m.; Dec. 22, 3 to 5 p.m.

Centennial High School Choir—This melodious choir is scheduled for Dec. 7, 5 to 7 p.m. and Dec. 8, noon to 2 p.m.; Dec. 22, noon to 2 p.m.

Circle Square Circus—Circle Square Circus is known for adding dazzling atmosphere and entertainment with Vaudeville-themed acts that blend juggling, ballet, acrobatics, unicycle, stilt walking and hat manipulation. The amusement starts Dec. 14, 5 to 7 p.m. and Dec. 15, 1 to 3 p.m.

Ed Hill—Singer/songwriter Ed Hill will be playing on Dec. 7, 5 to 7 p.m. and Dec. 15, noon to 3 p.m. He is a solo guitar act, who will be serving up a collection of traditional Christmas carols. In addition, he will be adding a dozen Christmas songs that he has written—the most well-known being the local expose' “Christmas In Pueblo.” This is his fourth year to play at Yule. In addition, his Christmas CD, "Oh, These Christmas Times,” his first CD, "Colorado Weather," and the just released "Josh the Bear, and Other Kidsongs" will all be available for purchase at this event.

PUEBLO, Colo.--November 15, 2012 The Pueblo Creative Corridor’s First Friday Art Walk will get you in a merry holiday mood on Dec. 7. Starting at 5 p.m., this First Friday Art Walk is included in the activities of Yule Love It Downtown, Holiday Art and Shopping Crawl. You can enjoy your walking and shopping with the addition of carolers and an assortment of holiday arts and crafts. Many galleries, cafes and shops will be exhibiting newly hung shows, serving refreshments and hosting live music and entertainment. All activities associated with Pueblo’s First Friday Art Walk are free.

On First Friday Art Walk, visitors can create their own free walking tour of a variety of locations by starting at one gallery, picking up a guide, and traveling on to another destination after mingling with the artists. Pueblo’s First Friday Art Walk offers visitors more than paintings, photography, fiber arts, sculpture, glass and pottery. Many galleries and shops have special demonstrations of “live art activities.”
