PPAG’s strategic vision includes the creation of a Creative Arts District in Pueblo. We’d like to share with you the steps and proposed timetable to achieve this vision:

Completed:

• National Endowment for the Arts Grant enables PPAG to complete feasibility report with
• Artspace, and complete site visits to creative industry facilities in Colorado.
• Provided leadership for passage of Colorado State Legislative passage of Creative Arts District Bill.
• Completed Historic Assessment of the Colorado Theater.

Ongoing:

• Provide marketing and leadership for Pueblo’s First Friday Art Walk, Yule Love It Downtown, and Street Beat.
• Provide advocacy of the arts as a tool for economic growth in the Pueblo’s city center.
• Provide leadership for the formation and definition of Pueblo’s Creative Arts District designation.
• Assess demand for multi-use creative industry facilities in the city center.

Soon to come- 2012

• Designation of the first Creative Arts District in Pueblo.
• Identify site and create design plans for the first multi-use creative industry facility in the city center.
• Provide leadership for the Creative Arts District design plans.
• Open a multi-use creative industry facility in the city center.
