
PPAG's Mission & GoalsMission: Promoting the production, enjoyment, and collaboration of the arts for the purposes of economic development and an enriched quality of life in Pueblo. Pueblo Performing Arts Guild (PPAG) is a non-profit organization that helps artists and art organizations in Pueblo, Colorado, by assisting in the promotion of events to increase audiences. Art audiences in Pueblo contribute over $14 M to the Pueblo economy annually. PPAG supports it membership of over 50 arts and business organizations in working together to communicate, cooperate and collaborate to increase local and tourist audience attendance. Business benefits from the arts in the Downtown district by increased activity that results in more commerce. PPAG partners with business associations and Pueblo's Urban Renewal Authority to attract more shoppers and audiences by promoting performances in downtown Pueblo. Community events sponsored and promoted by PPAG create an increased quality of life in Pueblo. PPAG showcases performers at Pueblo's First Friday Art Walk, Yule Love It Downtown and schedules local performers for events. PPAG assembles the only comprehensive calendar of arts events for the community. PPAG is a membership organization, comprised of organizations that produce arts events, both non-profit and for-profit organizations, drawn from Pueblo County, Colorado. Membership is also available to business associations that support the mission of PPAG. The PPAG Board of Directors has a diverse makeup of members representing local business, urban renewal initiatives, non-profit foundations, higher education, and arts organizations. The PPAG Board of Directors is committed to the PPAG mission, is active in fundraising, and is effective in providing direction for the organization. |
