Frequently Asked Questions
PPAG is a very flexible organization, knowing that we need to be able to accommodate all types of performers.  In general, we ask for your best effort in adhering to PPAG membership responsibilities.

Our schedule typically includes extensive travel and it may not always be possible to have one of us at the monthly meeting? Is this acceptable?

Members come to monthly meetings as often as they are able.  They switch times every other month to best accommodate teachers/ business schedules, and performance/rehearsal schedules.  We understand the demands.  But participation at meetings is strongly encouraged, it makes for a much stronger community of artists.

Our schedule for performances, other than after booking, is always very dynamic. We book some work well in advance but other dates happen on short notice so our "season calendar" is not easy to provide at the beginning of the year. We can provide information on public performances as the dates are contracted. Acceptable?

Do your best to get us performance information.  Of course the sooner we have it the more free advertising we can get for you.

If we are sponsoring, or in many instances even if we are not sponsoring events, we may be able to provide complementary tickets. Some venues, however, are not willing to do so and we have no real control over that. Acceptable?

Sometimes PPAG is approached by an organization (Chamber, University, non-profit) to provide tickets to put in gift baskets or fundraising programs.  When this happens I send out a message to our members.  If you have tickets that would be appropriate to include and it works for you that's all we can ask.  The goal is to make people more aware of our organizations and to get more seats filled through more exposure.

Same goes for ads. While we will make every attempt to place the PPAG ad in our programs, if a sponsor objects for whatever reason, we may not be able to do so. Acceptable?

We will provide you with a CD of various ads and sizes.  Please make every effort to include in a performance program.  We understand there may be restrictions that are not in your control.

As far as performing in the "Main Event", it would be our privilege to do so if we can schedule it around paid performances. Since we do rely on income from our performances we cannot afford to pass on paid performances to do "non-gratis" work.  Acceptable?

It is PPAG's goal to get our members more paid performances.  We would ask that you always choose a paid performance.  Of course, we can't wait to have you scheduled at The Main Event.

Where can I get the membership form to fill out?

Right Here.
